Programming with Lego is one of the projects within the „classroom of the future“. Student reporter Olivia visited the group while they were working.
Programming with Lego is an enjoyable thing to do for students in MIS Metropolitan school. It is one of the projects within the “classroom of the future”.The aim for these students is to program a robot to loop a table. To do this they make program that uses “bricks”, said Hannes, age 20, who is supervising the students. The students are split up in three groups. Each group has around two to three students in it. One of the groups said that it was fun, but challenging – even though one of the members had done this before in Mexico. While the other groups are slightly bored with what they are doing. A student, Hussam: ”I like it, because I have independence”, he said with a great amount of enthusiasm.
Right now, the groups are testing out their robots that they programmed.
